Design and power management:

The PVS-14E keeps the familiar PVS-style layout and can be used handheld or with a hands-free head mount. According to AGM Global Vision, the auto shut-off switches the unit off when it is moved upward, which saves battery power when the monocular is flipped out of view. Electronic polarity switching lets the battery be inserted either way round. Manual gain control, a bright-light cut-off and a built-in infrared illuminator are standard, and LED indicators in the field of view show low battery, IR on and excessive light conditions.
