Light Infantry Target (LIT): battery-powered pop-up target with programmable scenarios.

The W5 Solutions Light Infantry Target (LIT) is a lightweight, battery-powered and radio-controlled pop-up target from W5 Solutions for individual and unit infantry training, running programmable scenarios on a stationary target position.

Key Facts:

  • Target type: Pop-up target, stationary infantry target

  • Kekuatan: Battery-powered

  • Control: Radio-controlled

  • Scenarios: Programmable scenarios

  • Weight class: Ringan

  • Training level: Individual and unit infantry training

  • Sistem: Part of W5 Infantry Tactical Training, with BES, LOMAH and TEO

    How the LIT works:

The LIT raises and lowers a target on command. It runs on batteries and is controlled by radio, so no cabling to a control point is needed. Scenarios can be programmed in advance, which lets the instructor decide when and how often a target appears during an exercise. W5 Solutions describes the LIT as a stationary infantry target: it pops up in place and does not travel across the range.

Part of the W5 infantry training system:

W5 Solutions offers the LIT within its Infantry Tactical Training solution. Other components in the same system are the Battle Effect Simulator (BES) for smoke, flash and airburst effects, controlled by tablet or control unit; LOMAH (Location of Miss and Hit), an acoustic system that calculates where hits and misses land; and Target Enhanced Overlays (TEO), fabric overlays that are also available with a thermal signature.

About W5 Solutions and MSS Defence:

W5 Solutions AB (publ) provides solutions in training, power and integration and serves Swedish and international government agencies. MSS Defence is the Dutch supplier for the LIT: you request a quotation and have one point of contact for configuration, delivery and support.

    What is included:

W5 Solutions does not publish a list of contents for the LIT. Battery, charger, radio control unit and target face are not specified; ask MSS Defence for the package that fits your range and number of targets.

    Intended use:

W5 Solutions intends the LIT for individual and unit infantry training in live-fire environments, as part of its training solutions for armed forces and law enforcement.
